SkinPen creates hundreds to thousands of “micro” skin punctures per second to stimulate your body’s natural skin-healing power to increase collagen and elastin, so your skin returns to a healthier looking and youthful appearance. Collagen Induction Therapy assists in the rejuvenation of the epidermal integrity resulting in improved appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. SkinPen Precision can also effectively remodel scar tissue whilst maintaining the overall structure of the skin.
Unlike some alternatives, SkinPen has been clinically proven to be effective for women and men with with all Fitzpatrick Skin Types I – VI. Likewise, unlike lasers or chemical peels that can damage skin over the long term, SkinPen treatments, when properly spaced and overseen by a physician, can be used for years.
There are three phases involved:
Phase I (Inflammation phase)
The piercing of the skin triggers a response in your immune system which disinfects the wounds, increases blood flow and initiates new tissue formation.
Phase II (Proliferation phase)
A new network of blood vessels develop in addition to wound rebuilding involving new granulation cells.
Phase III (Remodelling phase)
The wound is replaced with new blood vessels and Dermal tissues.
SkinPen can be used on all areas of the face and body and can treat a number of concerns:
