Bamboo Massage

Bamboo Massage is a form of deep tissue massage, great for aching muscles. We incorporate it into our deep tissue massage routine and offer a 45 minute back & shoulders treatment for £39 and a 60 minute back & shoulders with backs of the legs treatment for £52.

With Bamboo Massage the bamboo cane replaces the therapist’s hands, and it is used to give a deep, firm massage. The cane is held by the therapist and rolled over the muscle with the same strokes they would use with their hands. The muscle is then kneaded, which assists in the release of tension and easing of knots.

At Zest For Life we find that clients like a combination of Bamboo Massage and manual Deep Tissue Massage with the forearms and elbows for optimum results.

For those who prefer a massage a little less intensive than Bamboo Massage, we also offer classic aromatherapy massages and swedish massage. We can use one of our exquisite Decleor pre blended oils or mix you a bespoke blend of aromatherapy oils. Also available are lovely warm, relaxing, heated massages with Lava Shells and Hot Stones. Clients love the feel of these massages in Winter, so relaxing! We can also add in our Infra Red lamp for an added bit of heat.

HOPI Ear Candles

At the end of a Zest For Life Massage some clients like to add on a HOPI Ear Candling treatment, also known as Thermo Auricular Therapy which is a warm, pleasant, non invasive treatment of the ears, used to treat a variety of conditions.

All Bamboo Massage treatments and wellness treatments are carried out in our lovely candlelit treatment rooms. We have very comfortable new, heated treatment couches at both Zest For Life in Helensburgh and Zen Skin Spa in Shandon and treatments are carried out in a relaxing and peaceful environment.
